I'm only a month overdue. Pretty good for me I'd say, don't you think?
We had a great time celebrating Easter this year and were lucky enough to spread our festivities out over two weekends. The weekend of Palm Sunday was spent in Monmouth with family, and Easter weekend was spent at home in Bothell, just the four of us.
In Monmouth...
the big cousins laughed,and played.
While the baby cousins were cuddled
and adored.
ugh, blurrsville. |
And as usual, "doggie" joined in for some of the fun.
We got all dressed up for a professional photo shoot,
How cute is my niece?
(the photos from that shoot are obviously not what's posted here, but isn't Auntie Mariah beautiful?)
Sweet Laney tried sharing her egg
while Quinn tried to quickly hoard hunt the rest.
This is how he reacted when he found out that he would have to share,
but he got over it pretty quickly.
There was plenty to go around.
Kira, Chloe, and Ruby were also there, but I have no even semi-decent photos to prove it. This weekend I was reminded how very far I have to go in my photo taking abilities. :)
The following weekend was spent at home in Bothell. The weather was GORGEOUS and we spent the good part of Saturday working in the yard, covering all of our muddy patches/walkways with bark. It felt so good to get our yard more functional for spring (and for a little egg hunt Sunday).
We ended the day Saturday with some Easter egg dying.
Quinn's loving anything art related lately, and so this was quite fun for him.
See the concentration in his face?
Lefty? He's been leaning that way since infancy. I suppose only time will tell for sure. |
but ultimately we decided that using plain hands would be best.
My happy boy!
and enjoyed a few tickles from Quinn along the way.
For some reason the only photo I took of the finished product were these two. My photojournalism is clearly a work in progress, like I said. :)
Easter morning Quinn woke up to Easter eggs littered around the house,
and buckets of goodies for him and Kira.
It seems as if our bunny may be one of the few (or only) who wraps gifts? Is this true? Pat enjoys making fun of our Easter bunny about this.
We've got a "Go Diego, Go" fascination going on over here.
Quinn now has his own baby jaguar and Click the camera.
Kira got a few things too.
The gifts were well received. Surprise, surprise.
After the excitement of Easter eggs/buckets wore off we enjoyed some breakfast together as a family and headed to church. When we got home Quinn discovered a few eggs hidden in the backyard as well.
I attempted to get a couple of sibling photos in their matching outfits. Well, you can see how well those turned out. Oh, and Kira took a nose dive right off of that step as well.
Better luck next year!
Happy Easter!
