Kira's Third Month

Here's what was happening during Kira's 3rd month:

Favorite place to be: Swing. Kira spent the majority of her day time naps in her swing during this month. She preferred to sleep at an incline and so the swing was perfect. Who am I kidding, she spent a lot of her awake time in the swing as well!

Dislikes: Kira was crankiest when she was overtired and/or hungry. But, who isn’t? Luckily she was a good eater and sleeper, and so we didn’t have to deal with a cranky Kira very often.

Tummy time was still a challenge for Kira at 3 months. Here you can see her working hard to lift her head. Good work, Kira! It'll get easier!

Milestones: Giggles! There is no sweeter sound than a baby giggling. I’m convinced. Some of the things that made her laugh were Grandma’s silly sounds, Quinn’s crazy personality, and being bounced on a bed (my cheap trick whenever I wanted to hear those sweet giggles).

Kira got to go on two road trips with mommy and Quinn because daddy was working far too much! She got to meet her newest cousin, Ruby June, and Ruby really loved her! We also took a trip to Walla Walla where Kira decided that her Grandma Darlene was pretty funny. Grandma was the first person to get a laugh out of our little miss.

Kira also celebrated her first Halloween this month.
She was a little lamb and slept on me during our trick-or-treating adventures with Quinn.

Quinn was Snoopy and loved ringing the doorbells around our neighborhood. He didn't even care about the candy; he was just interested in "push(ing) more buttons". If only that was his attitude about candy every other day of the year. :)
As I look through photos from this time in Kira's life, I am reminded just how much Quinn has loved his sister from the beginning. There are so many photos of him trying to tickle, hug, kiss, and simply lay with Kira. I am so grateful for this relationship and pray that they continue to develop a positive sibling bond over the months and years.

She was a darling little lamb, if I do say so myself.

Happy three months, Kira!
