Things Are Looking Up!

As some of you may or may not know, Pat has been "between jobs" for a while now. One short month after Pat accepted what seemed like a great new job opportunity at Locomotive Games, the company was shut down by its publisher, THQ. This was in November. We have tried to remain optimistic and trust that something will work out, and for the most part, we have. However, having a baby on the way has certainly added to the stress of the situation. Pat worked hard at polishing his demo reel, and he tried to keep his eyes open to any job opportunities that came his way.

Recently, Pat's good friend Rich mentioned a marketing art position at EA games. Pat thought that he might be a good fit, and Rich referred him. Some time passed (maybe a couple of weeks) and as of today, Pat is officially employed again! We are feeling so grateful and blessed. The job is only a three month contract for now, but it will hopefully lead to more opportunities in the near future. We will certainly take what we can get at this point!

New Demo Reel

Pat has been working hard at redoing his demo reel before the Game Developers Conference (GDC) in San Francisco. Well, the conference begins tomorrow, and Pat successfully met the deadline that he created for himself. Now, bring on the jobs! Below you can take a look at his most recent work. Enjoy!

A Newish Bedroom

So, in an effort to make room for Quinn, Pat and I had to move his office space into our bedroom. This isn't "new" news, seeing as how we made these changes in February, but I am loving our new bedroom and wanted to share the changes that we made. We are certainly maximizing our space... I like to consider the room "cozy", not crowded! You can judge for yourself.

Our First Blog

As we anxiously await the arrival of Quinn Zachary, we decided it was time to start a family blog. We have a lot to look forward to in the upcoming months, but nothing particularly noteworthy to write about today. Stay tuned!

Here is my most recent pregnancy photo (26 weeks)!
